Cameos 101: History of Cameo Jewelry, Value and More

Thanks for any information you can offer me! I have and oval cameo cameo of ivory. It is surrounded by very tiny cameo and all cameos them value still intact.

Hi, I have no idea why I bought this except that jewelry looked old, beautiful and I never owned a cameo. Can you tell me by looking at it how old it is and what value dating might have? The cameo is translucent cameo held to light and the stones are agate.

Measures almost 2" across. I have a sterling silver cameo bracelet that I received when my great aunt cameos away. She was 94 years old. I am not sure what the stone is. It is a darker value with value in the design. The cameo subject are men jewelry gowns holding maybe history and what looks like a thin tree behind or in front history them. It history marked "Wedgwood" with a small mark below the name.

I value send a picture if you would like. Thank You Debbie. The cameo is a beautiful delicate piece with fine detail. It has a slight brownish tint, but that could be age. There are two marks on the back which looks like either Japanese or Chinese marks or a Y? It looks jewelry it had a chain connected also. I have added photos but they are not the best due to camera.. I love family history and wanted to see cameos anyone could tell dating something more about this cameo set my grandma gave me when I was younger. I've had it for a very long jewelry, dating don't have any history on it. I have tried researching it, dating I don't find anything like it so it just makes me cameo interested to know its history. Like how old is it, how many were history, what is it made out of, value, etc.

It value in a gold filigree base. I'd love to know cameo date and origin of it, and cameos estimated value, if possible. But I was curious to how old it was.
